Classroom Interactive Projectors
Interactive projectors can turn a dry erase board, wall or table into an interactive display. They are the perfect whiteboard alternative. During the 2016-2017 school year the Fairhill PTA purchased 15 interactive projectors. This school year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to install interactive projectors in 10 remaining classrooms.
They improve the classroom environment, engage students in a more hands-on approach to group learning, and with internet and video capabilities they are replacing the old TV monitors for morning announcements and digital presentations. Teachers and staff report ease-of-use and high satisfaction rates in not just our schools but in many across Fairfax County as new or renovated schools buildings are designed and built.
Rain Garden Project
A Fairhill parent is working with the County, FCPS, and various organizations to get approvals to build a sustainable school ground. The plan includes a butterfly garden and natural habitats for science instruction and proper drainage.
Playground Project
Funds raised by the Fairhill PTA are used to subsidize field trips for all grades.
